A used mink is ‘bittersweet’, it’s a tainted prize–Em made it, but he sacrificed a lot to get there.

lol Do people actually do this for other artists or is it just em?? Am I missing something here?

People literally decipher every bar, every syllable and every line to try and point out a line or a punch that they consider 'cringey'

I just don't see people doing the same for other artists, and everyone from Kenny, to Cole to, to Joey $$, Weezy whoever... all have suspect lines scattered here and there.

It's amusing that seemingly it's not half as much of an issue to most people when other rappers have the odd dodgey line.

When you've decided you've picked out a line though that you don't like the sound of... with em.. it's threadworthy?

Yeah but my question is do people analyse every syllable from their other favourite rappers, or for whatever reason.... it is just em that they put up on this pedestal?

I don't notice people critiquing other artists even half as hard, and some other great rappers have the occasional wack/corny punch or s--- line too so it's not like em is in an exclusive category with that.

I just find it fascinating. There are other rappers... also considered GOATS or greats who all have s--- lines.... but no one seems to give a f---??? lol.

When it's em though... it's like the trashiest thing anyone has ever heard the whole songs getting auto deleted from everyone's iTunes and em has fallen from grace like no other rapper in history. Apparently.

    I's an interesting one.

You seem so insecure about Eminem's legacy amongst his peers

Lol wtf are you even talking about?

Ems legacy amongst his 'peers' isn't what I'm questioning is it? His peers are krs one, nas, jay, G rap, 3 stacks etc. He gets a lot of respect from his peers. I'm not so sure on your choice of words here tbh.

I'm questioning how apparant 'fans' critique him in such a way that they don't do with other artists.

f---s this got to do with peers?? Lol

Wasn't really critiquing as much as asking what other people thought of the line
Minks I associate with coats but mink as an animal and winning one that was "used" didn't really make sense to me. Doesn't ruin the song for me

They don't. Not like this. But it's 50% brought on by some of the absolute terrible songs Em has made and 50% by this being a circle jerk of people pretending not to be Stans.
