Coming off of his release of his debut album, ISLAH, in January, Gates has made himself one of the hottest rappers out. He will be soon dropping Murder 4 Hire 2, a follow up to the previous mixtape he let go for us in 2015. Gates often gets dismissed on this forum even though he is one of the best rappers alive right now. Hopefully this can open your eyes and you will finally see what you are missing.

1. Wish I Had It

Arguably one of his best songs to date.



2. Really Really

This is one of his biggest hits yet and one of the best songs of 2015.



3. Satellites

This is one of those songs that put people onto Gates. I've heard from numerous people now, including @Fire Squad who have said that the first time they heard this, they stopped what they were doing to listen.



4. 4:30 AM

Gates opens up his story telling in this track, showing off his versatility.



5. Pride

One of the best tracks on his debut, ISLAH.



6. Hard For



Gates opens up with a song that could be a radio hit if it wasn't so vulgar, but that is what makes Gates who he is a rapper. Gates is compared to Drake sometimes because of tracks like this. He's pretty much just a better rapping and more vulgar version of Drake sometimes.

7. Out The Mud



Another great melodic hook from Gates and all around great rapping.

8. IDGAF

IDGAF is one of Gates best songs yet. Song really means a lot to him, seen him cry multiple times now performing it. This track also shows that Gates can also be what some would call, a traditional rapper.

Game recognize game baby.



9. Neon Lights

Neon Lights is the first Gates song I ever heard and I was immediately hooked.



10. Roaming Around

One of my personal favorite songs from Gates, really smooth track.

I've never been a snippet guy. I'll occasionally hear one, especially when ThugSXN tags me every half hour, but I don't even really remember them the next day. I barely listen to singles anymore. I'd rather just wait for a full length.

I just remember when I would watch trailers for movies over and over, my expectations would get way too high. Going in blind is worth it.

Looking thru iTunes right now at LB1, now that I think about it more. LB1 is definitely better. LB1 has Paper Chasers, Weight, Neon Lights, IDGAF, Hold Ya Head, they're all at least 9/10 tracks.
