Drake LasiK thoughts on Views

    if drake waited and took the best cuts from IYRTITL and Views he could have made a very good drake album. instead, we have two over-welcomed projects from an artist whose tried and true methods are starting to get old

    IYRTITL was a very different style than we've come accustomed to expecting from a drake album. Views style is in line with his previous proper releases. i'm still getting into Views, but as a whole, i don't think it's gonna top my appreciation for iyrt...but that's just cuz i appreciate mixtape drake more than album drake. i don't think the 2 projects could have collided though.

    in the end, music is music. drake had some great songs with even better production that i can still play to the day. a lot of the s--- on Views feels like music I've already heard before.

    Drake and camp are capable of making some really cool rap music, however creative control seems to have little restraint. less is more in the case of drake's music. as is kanye.

    views as a whole is deff close to NWTS in sound than IYRT, but I think Lasik is saying some of the appeal of tracks on Views wanes due to hearing different renditions of it on IYRT
