Jun 11, 2021 Shoutout to Tha Carter 3. An album that Lil Wayne dropped at the height of his success. Anyone who was around will remember just how big Wayne was and how often these songs played on TV, on the radio or in the clubs. Good times. Lets not forget about the OG version. Peak Wayne. Pure fire.
Jun 11, 2021 Didn't even listen to rap back then and I still heard of these songs, d---. It's funny cuz I actually decided to listen to this album in full like 2 days ago, I didn't know it's anniversairy was coming up.
Jun 11, 2021 You guys just focus on my dissapointed in recent rap albums posts. I still love old rap projects.
Jun 12, 2021 I hadn't heard any of these besides the first one. Thanks for posting, bro. I actually prefer the original Carter 3 more than the one we got. In the OG version there was La La La which you posted, I'm Me (Top 5 Wayne song imo) and these amongst others. Wayne was untouchable You compile the best tracks from the OG version and replace the skippable ones on the final version and it could have been a freakin masterpiece.
Jun 12, 2021 Can’t believe it’s been 13. Pretty insane to think he was only 25 at the time it dropped (likely 24 when recorded).
Jun 12, 2021 That's pretty crazy. Wayne peaked so young. But he started out young too. That would make him 22 years old when Carter 2 dropped. Arguably his best or 2nd best album.
