It's a shame. In the past several years, he's gotten better lyrically. His bars are more technical, faster paced, multisyllabic rhymes. He's energetic His flows have been more creative than ever.

Dedication 6, D6 Reloaded, his verse on Mona Lisa, Don't Cry, Scottie, Funeral, lots more.

But even though he's improving, he's getting less attention. It's sad that 10 years ago, he could put out a wack song and it would get tons of hype. Now he could put out a total gem and many people wouldn't even notice.

His older singles would get 100+ million views on Youtube. Now they get like 3-10 million usually.

Funeral debuted at #1 which is pretty good for a rapper 25 years into their career

I don't see him dropping a good album again, but his features are pretty good

From the hot Boyz to his solo career. To his mixtapes and all the features he’s done over the years…

Why In hip hop can’t people just get their f---ing flowers for what they did? You don’t see rock fans shi--ing on guns and roses for the last album they put out. They play the classic s--- like it came out a month ago.

His lyrics might have gotten better but his music hasn't.

If lyricism sold records guys like Rakim would be selling millions.

try putting together a top 10 rappers oat list and not including, or at minimum giving a hard look to, wayne in that.
he still gets praise for his goat run in the 2ks, but no shine for his continued successes, despite always coming on-point in his features.

c5 suffered from being too long. cut it in half and you have an amazing album. that's what happens when you add to the tracklist for 10 years.

All the rappers you listened to in the late 90s early 2000s aren't as good as they used to be...it happens. There's only so much s--- you can make tracks about after 20 years. He's been pretty boring

The idea that Wayne is better now than he was in the 2000s is baffling to me. He still murders his features most of the time, but his albums have been bloated and not that great for almost 10 years now (sans-Carter 5 which I think is a pretty good late-career album and he deserved to be able to make it long). Funeral was OK. Wayne's talented enough that his albums are always gonna have a handful of dope songs on them tho.

Jay still dope. Nas still strong, even though I didn't like that Kanye produced project.

Jay hasn't put an album out in 4 years. 4:44 was good but nowhere near his prime lets not kid eachother. Nas hasn't put out anything good since Life is Good. My point was none of them are as good as they were and they're not. That doesn't mean they're terrible

4:44 is a classic imo, one of his best. I wish Em dropped something as good. King's Disease wasn't great, but I enjoyed most of it.

Hes creativity, delivery and flow is whole lot worse than when he was in his prime. He's past few releases have been ok at times, but something is just missong. Collegrove was the last project I really enjoyed of him.
