Lupe's broken way too many promises for me to count. First LupEND, probably label's fault. The All City Chess Club mess. F&L 2: Part 2, never happened, scrapped for some ungodly reason, even Pt. 1 almost didn't come out. Then the horrible rollouts of the Drogas albums. I'm not gonna go into detail about that s---. At least the 2 Drogas albums dropped, if Drogas is supposed to be DW. I love Lupe, but f--- is he out of tone with his releases. Must of got that from Ye.

Sadly, Lupe’s pretty much all but confirmed Waves was his last album. Or at least he’s alluded that there’s a slim likelihood he’ll ever release another.

I doubt Skulls was, is, or ever will be closed to finished. Waves wasn’t even finished until summer of last year and he had to work incredibly hard to put it out by the date he did. Maybe the lyrics and concepts are written but even then it’s a long shot.

If by some miracle he ever releases Skulls, I hope he does it as a free album. It’s probably better that way then having to clear a million samples and drag it out for years just to make so little on return.

Forgive me for asking but why is Lupe font making any more albums? I’m not massively into him so just curious. 37 isn’t that old. Just seems odd.

He wanted to retire years and f---ing years ago. He was going to put out a 3 disc album called lupe E.N.D and his label wouldn’t let him release it. Then he got f----- over with losers as well.

Ironically Lupes last three albums are ageless, his content is far beyond his own years in terms of maturity and really always has been. It seems like hed just rather focus on other endeavors. He’s big into the niche Chinese TV market it seems. Plus he spends his days in the mountains training and s---. I definitely sensed this vibe of finality in Drogas Waves, he did a s--- ton of research and went to great lengths to tell a story and convey a message. If we’re lucky maybe he’ll get the itch again and work on Skulls, but considering the lack of return on how much he invested into Waves, I’m not sure. You can really only service a fledgling devoted fanbase for so long before you start to burn money.
