lets get one thing straight

This ain't no Classic in any sense of the word and it's not even a great album but it's definitely not his worst

The lows are bad but they have not even touched the embarrassing lows of Encore

The album carries a few highs and the majority of other tracks are from average to good

If you are still not convinced listen to the MMLP2 and then Encore and you will realise the MMLP2 wins by quite a wide margin

Why is everyone so obsessed with defending this album as the people who dislike it are insulting them when they say so. Any one who dislikes it has a right to dislike it regardless of your opinion on the album. Personally I think Encore gets over hated with a prime example in the op but there's no need to go make 5 threads about it

I think Encore, Relapse and MMLP2 are all overhated. Relapse is the album with the dopest beats and Flow, Encore have some of his greatest songs like Yellow Brick road and Mockingbird but also some of his worst big weenie, My 1st single and MMLP2 is the same some songs are the greatest since his comeback Bad Guy, Rap God, Brainless, Evil Twin and Rhyme or reason but it also have really bad song... a------. The rest is average good. This 3 albums are far away from Bad

They're all over hated, but for good reason. They simply aren't near his first 3. If some new dude released these post hiatus albums they would be considered good. Not great, just good. Like 6.5-7/10 good I'm assuming. Especially recovery. However we expect more from em because we know he's capable. What sucks more is there are a few gems where he proves 300% he could still put out high quality music, his execution just hasn't been even remotely consistent. While 2015 has been an upward trend imo, I'm not exactly expecting his next album to be anything special.

Eminem obviously made a descion (presumably when he got sober), that he was putting too much personal information out there. Following that, he learned to make songs primarily seperate from his own life, but the reality is, that is what most people were drawn to.

This left empty lyrical content on most post-hiatus work outside of recovery, which seemed like an explanation and apology of relapse and his dormant years.

I am constantly dissapointed with he latest offerings from him following recovery for that very reason.

He has a lot to offer outside of lyrical acrobats but he seems hellbent on cementing his legacy as one of the greatest lyrisicts ... Rather than a song maker. If there is no one left to listen though, whats the point.

Dr Dre is 50 years old and just released a classic album, so there are no excuses Em. Get creative and dig deeper. Stop borrowing hooks too...your own hooks are the best in hip hop and are what contributed grealy to your first 3 albums.

Come on Em, give us your final swan song.
