Sep 29, 2020 Found this on the Eminem reddit. They did a couple more. This to me is the best one. Others are a bit choppy but still interesting A flow and delivery change and everything sounds like it used to be I’ve adjusted so it’s whatever but, still interesting to hear this
Sep 29, 2020 The original is much better. Flow on a------ is awesome. But whatever was wrong with him while choosing that beat, I have no idea...
Sep 29, 2020 There's a reason Em don't rap like he used to in 2002, he's way more complicated lyrically nowadays.
Sep 29, 2020 I wish he would stop sacrificing sound just so he can fit as many rhymes and intricate lyrics as he can.
Sep 29, 2020 Stepping stone is exactly how he should sound to me in 2020. Its so lame that he clearly still CAN sound like that but chooses not to. No lyrical miracle just storytelling and an amazing hook.
Sep 29, 2020 Stepping Stone is a good example. It's much closer to how i'd like him to sound as well. Feels a bit less robotic and easier to vibe to. From 2001 up to maybe Encore has always been the ideal sound in terms of his vocals for me personally. If I had to pick a perfect post hiatus example of how I would like him to sound it would be The Warning. No accents, no yelling, no robotic voice or choppy flow. Vocals and flow are flawless. It's kind of frustrating that he can't rap like that consistently.
Sep 29, 2020 Stepping Stone sounds... off to me. I can’t really put my finger on it, maybe just because it’s out of place.
Sep 30, 2020 Yeah because its the only song where he completely sounds like his old self. That and fall are (delivery wise) my favorite songs from him since like 2003 -and parts of the ringer-
Sep 30, 2020 The only thing wrong about this version is the robotic voice. Actually the flow is exactly right and fitting with the rhyme scheme. It highlights that the verse is actually great. I think I listened to a------ all.of 3 or 4 times because the beat made my ears bleed.
Oct 2, 2020 Well, this actually shows with a proper beat and a little bit of TES-ish delivery a------ would have been a dope a--- track. Probably same goes for the most MMLP2. I like that album but somehow it lacks replay value a lot. Never wanna listen to it...
