For older hip hop (early 80'-early 90s) i'd recommend Slick Rick's "The Great Adventures of Slick Rick" and Big Daddy Kane's "Young Gifted and Black" For 90s hip hop I'd recommend DMX's "It's Dark And h--- Is Hot" Raekwon's "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx" and OutKast's "Aquemini. 200s hip hop would probably be 50 Cent's "Get Rich Or Die Tryin" or Kanye's "The College Dropout". For the 2010s I'd say that Travis Scott's "Rodeo", Young Thug's "Barter 6" And Playboi Carti's 'Die Lit" are good starters. I'd also recommend Radiohead's OK Computer and Kid A since they're really good.

In general I like s--- like most rock music but if you're talking about hip hop I don't think I've listened to enough albums to really have set tastes yet I grew up with a lot of 90s/2000s music so I listen to a lot of s--- like paramore offspring green day red hot chili peppers rise against and more goofy s--- you can really tell I grew up white lol

Probably already know about classics, not gonna mention them and older ones since the list will go on forever. Instead I'mma keep it short by tryin' to list newer rappers of the top of my head.

D Smoke ( not sure of him but his album this year was awesome, too bad I heard about it only after the Grammy nominees were announced. )
Anderson Paak - definitely one of my fav artist for few years now, everything he touches is enjoyable.)
    Boogie
Russ (I love the beats he uses.)
YG ( every album worth listening, just start by checking his latest one)
Future album had some gems in it too but there are many other albums that had gems in it anyway so...

Even though rap is my fav, I like every type of music from jazz to classic to rap to rock etc. But I don't listen to recent rock, blues, jazz, soul, funk music much. Everything I listen to which fall into those categories are from 50s,60s, 70s or 80s. I still listen to some pop. As for recent music, I'm mainly into Rap, R&B, House, Deep House music. I never really had an House album I liked as a whole, I don't really check them as albums but I have some dope a--- dance & house playlists I can share if you have spotify...

If you're interested, I made a thread a few months back asking for recommendations on "Non mumble rap" hip hop artists.

You can check out the list of artists I named in the OP and also check the recommendations that were suggested to me.

    https://forum.sectioneighty.com/loo...ist-recommendations-no-mumble-rappers.t235944

I will be checking out your thread as i'm always interested in discovering new artists.

Also, tell us which artists/albums you like/dislike once you listened to them. That will help us recommend you things you might like.
