Jun 15, 2015 Eminem To Produce & Write Music For Joe Carnahan’s ‘Narc’ Series At Paramount TV Detroit-born-and-raised Eminem has become a symbol of the city, supporting it through good times and bad. Now the famous rapper will be lending a hand to a TV project set in Motor City: Paramount TV’s drama series inspired by Joe Carnahan’s 2002 movie Narc. I’ve learned that Eminem is in negotiations to join the project as an executive producer and music supervisor, and as part of that he is expected to write some original songs. Carnahan has written a pilot script and is set to direct and executive produce the drama, which is expected to be taken out to networks. Like in the movie, which starred Ray Liotta and Jason Patric as Detroit police detectives investigating the murder of an undercover cop, the city will have a major presence on the show, also a crime thriller. It was put in development by Paramount TV about a year ago.
