Apr 30, 2017 Let's start off with the definition of the word. Classic: of the first or highest quality, class, or rank: a classic piece of work. serving as a standard, model, or guide: the classic method of teaching arithmetic. Now i just came back from the Eminem section and cannot believe the amount of people throwing around the word "classic" to describe medicore to terrible pieces of work. I understand everyone is entitled to their own opinion but just because you like something dearly, doesn't make it a classic. Some people need to start judging things with a more objective point of view. For example, you can say MMLP2 and Relapse are 2 of your favorite albums. Your allowed. It's f---in weird but hey, that's your own personal taste. But calling them "classics" or in other words, of the first and highest class or rank or serving as a standard model or guide.. is crossing the f---in line. You people shouldn't even have the right to vote. Don't even get me started on the word "masterpiece"... Y"all need to stop throwing around those words.
Apr 30, 2017 Just stay out of the Eminem section. Of course the people so obsessed with him that they frequent his section are going to think highly of his music. That's what fandom does. Anyway, people who nitpick what "classic" should represent can be just as annoying.
