Oct 2, 2017 Today is late, great D12 rapper Proof's birthday. He would have turned 44 today if he wouldn't have been tragically shot and killed at a Detroit club in 2006. R.I.P. Proof. Legends Never Die.
Oct 2, 2017 Fact. You're right. They had perfect chemistry and always knew what each other was gonna do. I also think he had more fun performing with proof. I also think a lot of Em's greatest hooks and melodies were created in part by proof when they would just goof around creating dumb s---. Losing proof has had such a negatove impact on em's live performances as well as creating new music.
Oct 2, 2017 @Changeling, my guy, whet? Proof is legendary in Detroit, he connected everyone, everyone knew him. He's definitely a legend in the music/hip hop industry. Proof was also one of the best off the top freestylers in Detroit. Everybody knew him as a top MC. I'm getting the sense that a lot of ppl don't like him for some other reason, which is fine, but those statements aren't true.
Oct 2, 2017 Proof is not a legend in hip hop hardly anybody would know him unless you're a big Eminem fan Local hero more like it And yea maybe he was a good freestyler but in music was nothing special
Oct 2, 2017 I always thought his voice was too quiet. I could barely hear what he was saying on some D12 tracks
Oct 2, 2017 no I said the industry, meaning rappers, label owners, music lawyers, media... industry people. i'm not arguing about the music, I agree, only responding to he's "not a great rapper".
Oct 2, 2017 A boring rapper. He always forced some deep voice that didn't help either. If he wasn't Eminem's friend, you never would have heard of him.
