Jan 19, 2016 http://consequenceofsound.net/2016/...licist-heathcliff-berru-of-sexual-harassment/ TLDR: Many women in the music industry from artists, people who work for labels and PR firms confirmed the initial claims from Dirty Projectors' member Amber Coffman that Heathcliff Berru, CEO of Life or Death (PR firm for musicians), had sexually harassed/assaulted her and multiple women throughout the years. Berru stepped down as CEO after the accusations.
Jan 19, 2016 @Indieheads Thoughts on this? As someone interested in pursuing music PR, this pisses me off. Glad to see justice was served somehow.
Jan 19, 2016 What a creep. Props to the people stepping out & adressing that he did this, f----- up his reputation so bad he had to step down lol.
Jan 19, 2016 It's a definite step in the right direction, as I think this is just one piece of a large puzzle of how f----- the music industry is
Jan 19, 2016 Why is this just coming out now? Get one of these chicks to file a police report. It wasn't in the work place and it was a one off incident in a bar where I'm sure more serious sexual harassment occurs every weekend. This very person has probably suffered more serious sexual harassment than this before. I'm skeptical as to the motives here tbh. Would like to hear from more victims before making my mind up. Edit: See below.
Jan 19, 2016 ...Dude like 8 or more women have come out to support Amber's original claims and have their own stories about Heathcliff, how many more do you need?
Jan 19, 2016 I obviously haven't read them? Sorry for not blindly attacking somebody without all of the information.
Jan 19, 2016 I read an article earlier when it was just the first tweet. I didn't know the story had developed. I still stand by my original response. I was being objective. It takes more than 140 characters for me to make up my mind. That said, dude is a creep and I'm glad his life is ruined.
Jan 19, 2016 Then to go back to your original post, most people in general don't report rapes. And in this case, most of the women probably didn't report it as this guy was in a very high position of power, leading one of the biggest music PR firms right now. So essentially this guy could easily ruin their career if he wanted to.
Jan 19, 2016 1) a--- grab =/= r---. I bet nobody reports a--- grabs at bars either. 2) Her firm stopped doing business with him almost immediately. She had no threat to her career. This was the info available to me.
Jan 19, 2016 1. Bad miswording on my part, but still most women (or even guys, really) don't report sexual assaults or harassment. 2. At this point she didn't have much risk, but probably knew how much of a creep he's been to other women in the industry and wanted to speak out. Why? I don't exactly know, maybe we'll find out as this story is still developing.
Jan 19, 2016 I just hope this inspires @Narsh to finally come forward about @WPG and their "tickle fights".
