I don't know how many people listen to music non hip-hop related in the blog scene but if this post gets 10 likes I'll push out a leak site today for all the latest EDM music without any advertisements.

    God d--- dude you're a music powerhouse!

I'm not big on EDM, though (not that I don't like it, I just never really got THAT into it)

So you think I should push the site forward?

I think it could be a good chance for people who aren't as familiar with EDM to start taking a bit of notice, maybe even find some jawns they like.

    Eh, I'm not sure.

With me not being super into it, I'm not going to give you the generic "Yea! Go for it!" if I'm not going to be a regular, you know?

The good news is that if it turns out like any of your other sites, I'm sure it'll be great...I'm just not sure what the traffic for EDM leaks looks like.

This is what's stopping me quite frankly,
First off there's no real competition for EDM music outside of artist like Zedd, Calvin Harris, and DeadMau5 (The Chris Brown, Weeknd, and Drake) equals for EDM they generate traffic no matter what happens, or what they drop, which has me on the fence. Maybe EDM people just like to stay in their boundries on SoundCloud and YouTube.

Or maybe it's just an untapped gold-mine just waiting for a smiley Gavin to slide it's way into the mine and snatch up all the gold and diamonds and abort mission..

Doesn't the reward heavily outweigh the risk then? Even though I probably won't be a regular or anything it seems like there's no harm in doing it unless you're stretched thin as it is.

There's plenty of mainstream edm artists to push leaks for

Nero, zedd, zeds dead, bassnectar, avicii, krewella, major lazer, diplo, skrillex, jack u etc.

In your opinion do you think the idea is worth pushing though?
    My general idea is this.

    - I am good at getting unreleased music that's why my websites are always so successful.
So I have the idea to push underground artist heads that pull 10K - 50K in views on SoundCloud or YouTube.
Preparing people for those big leaks I get my hands on.

I honestly feel like the idea it's self is gold but executing it is a whole nother ball game.

Problem I for see is that most edm artists just put out singles/eps and rarely release albums, and most of them don't leak because it's all digital and they usually drop quickly

I don't think the whole albums thing matters in all honesty.
My experience 7 years now running media related websites has come to the conclusion that one.
Albums get you in a lot of trouble because of the promotion already behind them + all the money that's affiliated with them upon release.
Secondly, they don't make the bulk-some of your revenue, if Drake dropped a single right now it would result in the same amount of traffic as if he dropped an album in all honesty.

My highest payouts of all time was from Future x Drake - What a time to be alive and from the leaks back in 2008 from wayne, I was making 15,000 a day just off Wayne leaks during that era and those was all singles.

I mean, I don't know what to tell you about the whole thing really, its up to you in the end, i just dont see the use in doing it with edm.

But I'm hopped up on pain pills at the moment anyways so I'm probably not the best financial adviser atm

I will say also, as probably the biggest edm fan/listener on s80, I don't see this being necessary for myself persobally, and if you're having doubts about it I wouldn't do it cause I don't know how much other edm listeners would use it. People typically check through stuff like youtube and soundcloud, most of them listen very casually. They don't seek out leaks probably as much as hip hop fanss
