It's good party music and fun to be ignorant and listen to them sometimes, but I don't take their music all that serious. Really liked the album tho. Throw Sum Mo and Safe Sex Paychecks are my two favs besides No Flex Zone and No Type.

...tbh, i wasn't gonna give them a shot at all until i read his review. pretty happy with the album, if you take the content for what it is & what it's meant to be.

lol @ the idea that music has to be "taken seriously" for it to be credible or something. I don't take this release seriously at all, but it's still great.

oh and upppppp like donald trump, chain slang like nunchucks :wow::wow:

I agree with everything you said... I don't take it seriously and I still like the album. And I never meant to imply that it had to be taken serious to be credible, but my bad I guess?

No worries, I got that you liked the album even though you cant take it "seriously," but I just wanted to point out that how "serious" something is doesnt determine its quality nahmean?

It's great for what it is. Basically a throwback to the ringtone era. Webbie, MIMS, Soulja Boy, etc. Catch phrase rap is what I like to call it. Vine hits. Swae has a unique voice. Mike Will Made It made sure to cater to the crowd the whole way through. It's a social album. Not something I'd particularly listen to by myself.

My problem isn't that it's fun. My problem is that's all that it is. They play one note, but they do it very well. @Narsh

tbh i've never really listened to any song on the album on my own. seriously, except for throw sum mo (and thats cuz thugger thugger) the rest are usually played when im with a friend. so I definitely get what you're sayin.

The only time I really listen to em when I'm on my own is when I watch their music videos (which are pretty great haha).

These kids are also always awesome in interviews, Id recommend watching some.

I could definitely see Swae and Slim becoming artists I take seriously down the road, but for now I'd rather focus on the ones they're emulating.

sidenote: their come up story is f---ing fairytale like bro. brothers, homeless, throwing bangers in bandos, discovered by mike will etc.

you can classify them as ringtone rap, sure..but rae sremm is much better than mims, soulja boy or anyone from that era making ringtone rap ever was.
