Sep 24, 2017 If I recall it was originally supposed to be the album that followed 808s but morphed into MBDTF after the Taylor Swift thing
Sep 24, 2017 MBDTF was a good a--- album. In fact one of Kanye's best by the way, why do we STILL don't have a fat Ye emoji goddammit
Sep 24, 2017 At first, I thought you were asking what album was as good as it was supposed to be, like what albums lived up to the hype.
Sep 24, 2017 It was going to be the follow up to 808s and kind of keeping the narrative going CD-LR-GRAD then you get a Good a--- Job....get it? But yeah s--- happened and he was painted in a bad light so he made what we know as MBDTF
Sep 24, 2017 You guys know if it was an draft/idea or actually songs circulating around the concept were made?
Sep 24, 2017 Like others have said, it's what MBDTF became...they're different albums conceptually but some songs that were slated for what was once called called Good a--- Job probably ended up on MBDTF. As the tone and sound shifted not all the songs fit, which is why stuff like Mama's Boyfriend didn't end up on it. It's like how there's that picture with the white board with possible tracks for So Help Me God and Real Friends is on there with stuff like All Day, God Level, and Only One, but as we know the only one of those that made the album was Real Friends.
Oct 1, 2017 Good a--- Job was going to be his fourth album. He had confirmed that for years before. I'd memory serves correct, before Graduation even came out. 808s happened which I think changed his creative style, period. GAJ became MBDTF and I'd imagine 1 or 2 songs stayed the same but I think.its mostly different. One for the vault!
