Tech Do internationally powerpoint converters affect power?

    Not sure if in right place - looks like the tech sections gone.

    Anyway can't really find an answer online. Do international travel adaptors affect the power going through? Basically I'm in detroit and my s--- is charging unbelievably slow. Even when my phone/tablet is switched off. It's the same cable I've used at home and I've even bought another here which has maybe improved a little bit. The only thing i can put it down to is maybe the converter I've got (cos we'v got different plugs to you guys)

    Is that a thing or?

    I'm not a tech head or anything but could it maybe be detroit has s--- voltage or whatever it is where I'm staying compared to home?

    Just found out you guys have 110v and we have 240v back home. Come on guys wtf this third world country ish
