    Haven't heard anyone besides @Mraczewsky mention Tierra Whack here, but my friend showed me her album Whack World earlier this year. It's 15 one-minute songs and there's a whole visual album. She secured a spot at Camp Flog Gnaw this year so her star power's been growing.

    what blows my mind is how quality these songs sound, and still she was so committed to the 1 minute long song concept that she decided to not make them any longer, even though, in my opinion, there are some potential hits.

    Yeah, some of these songs I would k--- for longer versions of...but I think sticking to that concept really makes the album succeed cuz it feels like you're really pulled into her world/racing thoughts/weird ideas.

    Never heard of this before but I really like the idea of this album. Some good songs on here.

    This is really cool! Thank you. 11:15 - 12:15 is so catchy. The first few songs are great too.

    I think the visual album succeeds more for me than the music. Similar to a lot of Childish Gambino's stuff, the visual elements carry a lot of of the weight. And she's clearly heavily influenced by Gambino and Chance the Rapper, which kind of hurts this for me because I feel like the only thing that makes her stand out copycats of that style is that she's female. I didn't detect a distinct voice apart from her gender that separates her from any of the other Gambino knockoffs who thrive off of pretentious psychedelia.

    All that sounds really negative but I do think she shows real potential, and she definitely has an ear for melody and great delivery. Plus I'm a sucker for well produced surrealist psychedelia. I'd definitely be interested in hearing her next project just to see how she's progressed.

    this girl's album was one of my favorites of the year and i forgot it til i saw this post so good looks. her singles that came out before the album on apple music are hot too
