Skylar Grey leaving Interscope??

    She got removed from interscope.com/artists. She did a cover of Runaway Train with 2 more artists and she wasn't listed under either Kidinakorner or Interscope in the credits, but listed under her management team 'Crush Music'.

    Skylar has a fair amount of followers that aren't Eminem stans. She had a large crowd on her Bottlerock performance last month and performs at a fair number of festivals, and many TV performances. And also had a minor hit single for the Aquaman movie soundtrack. So, yep she has a lot of fans that do care and are anticipating her new album. Plus she is nice, talented and unproblematic so

    You'd be surprised that many of them do. At least the ones that go to his shows where he performs with her. Dunno if those are here, but I also want a response from someone tied to Interscope.

    Last time I seen Sky she told me she wanted out. She said they were forcing her to sell all her songs to bigger artist. She was also unhappy Em didnt have her on Kamazki and felt it was best to move on and she left on good terms. Shes taking her time with her next album.

    Are you serious lmao because knowing her (I've been a fan for over 8 years) she wouldn't mind not being on Kamikaze. They seem pretty close. Even if that's true (which obviously isn't), Interscope has nothing to do with it. This doesn't make sense too because she obviously won't go independent. I feel like I'm being wooshed.

    But anyway i should of specified she was cut from kamikaze. She was suppose to be on good guy but cut and didnt even know until it came out.

    I remember that interview where Paul said they wanted young talented features on the album to please new listeners. So they cut Skylar and a Dre/50 cent collab and replaced it w Joyner & Jesse. Royce was going through a s-----y time so decided to keep that song so he wouldn't go into a full depression.

    Still doesn't make sense. Skylar is never featured on songs she didn't write, and she definitely didn't write Good Guy. Also we got pics of Jessie with Em in the studio soon after Revival came out. Either she had a song that got cut like @Michael Myers said, or she wasn't even there. Either way, she wouldn't be mad. She got cut out of Clarity by Zedd (she co-wrote that) and she talked publicly about her being a little bummed about it but she was happy and very pleased with the result. She's just not that type of person. I suppose she is leaving Interscope because they never gave her full creative control neither did they give her promo or budget.

    @Omaruz they literally had JMG as a featured guest on shade45 and even replayed highlights of his interview later on, he's been an insider on these forums for years..He gets wrong info at times or his sources mislead him or whatever the case may be(I don't know the specifics tbh) but he's definitely reliable more times than not.

    I stopped caring bout Em related stuff for the most part but fact remains there's no one more reliable with Em related info on here than JMG, especially with Koolo no longer posting.

    But it doesn't make sense that Skylar was supposed to be on Good Guy since she didn't even write it and Jessie has been in studio with Marshall just a month or so after Revival. Probably misleading sources then. If you got anymore info on that matter @JMG please spill it all

    I already told you what happened. Eminem had the concept for Good guy and bad guy and Sky did hers and Em used Jessie behind her back. You want me to call and tell her that @Omaruz needs every single detail?

    Even though this sounds barely believable, this really isn't related to the OP about why she left Interscope. She wouldn't leave it for just a pitched song that didn't get accepted, because she literally talked about that before and that before she used to care but now she doesn't much because it's okay to have ups and downs in your career. So, this doesn't sound believable to why she left Interscope. However the selling songs to bigger artists sounds kinda believable, but I don't think it's that believable since that's what she has been doing since the start of her career. And the taking time with her album part? It has been 3 years since her last album. I honestly don't give a s--- about details all I wanna know is when she will release new music (or if she even will release new music at all at this point).
