Apr 18, 2020 The MTBMB elimination game, which resulted in a lot of discussion on Premonition vs. The Ringer, inspired me to make a poll for the best opening track on an Eminem studio album. The poll will not include any skits that are the first track - strictly the first true song. Very interested to see how this goes.
Apr 18, 2020 The ringer Perfect intro to THAT album Songs like bad guy and k--- you totally might be better songs, but the ringer is how you start an album with f---ing bars
Apr 18, 2020 k--- you, the ringer and white america are the best songs But Stan pt 2 was the best surprise imo that nobody ever thought he could pull off and he did. For that going w Bad Guy
Apr 18, 2020 Bad guy is three verses of trash with a killer 4th verse. To even think it remotely lives up to Stan is delusional
Apr 18, 2020 I just ran them all on iTunes. k--- You, Cold Wind Blows, Bad Guy, & The Ringer gave me crazy feels. The Ringer gets my vote though.
Apr 19, 2020 It's a really tough question, Em almost always brings it on the opening track, he makes sure it stands out tonally and lyrically. k--- You, White America, and The Ringer are also fair choices to me, but I have to go with Bad Guy. It's a journey of a song, and the last verse is arguably Em's best EVER. Ever.
Apr 19, 2020 For me: k--- You Cold Wind Blows The Ringer White America Bad Guy Premonition Walk on Water Infinate My Name Is Evil Deeds 3am
Apr 19, 2020 obviously k--- you >>>>>>>>>>>> white america > my name is > the rest of them then I guess bad guy > 3am > evil deeds > the ringer > premonition > cold wind blows > walk on water
Apr 19, 2020 Yeah, let me explain just how to make greatness Straight out the gate, I'm 'bout to break you down Ain't no mistakes allowed, but make no mistake I'm 'bout To r--- the alphabet, I may raise some brows If I press the issue just to get the anger out (brrr) Full magazine could take Staples out Savage, but ain't thinking 'bout no bank account But b---- I'm off the chain like Taylor Brown Literally defines Eminem the entire last decade in those few lines -Inspiring -Controversial -Acknowledging the fact -Subtle but amazing jabs/double entendres at top tier artists (21 savage and Vince staples) -Randomly calling out a female that I've never heard of Top. Tier. s---.
Apr 19, 2020 k--- you White America My name is 3am Cold wind blows/the ringer Evil deeds Bad guy Walk on water
Apr 19, 2020 When i first heard The ringer it was just jaw dropping, so refreshing and he pulled it off in the best way. It was exactly what i wanted from him at that time and i have to say it again, he pulled it off in the best possible way. k--- you is hands down a classic and such, such a unique song, also the first song i heard by him so it is very special to me. it has become this really cool time capsule of what kind of artist Em was back then, a hardcore rapper with a superb talent for rhyming, flow, delivery pretty much everything a rapper wanted to have, and he showed comfort for his controversial image that he had created and that the public gave him. The opening lines are classic, very cool that he showed a nod to them on premonition. White America is the definition of epic, the outsmart-everybody mentality was a fact here. There will never be a song like that again, hands down his best opening track for me. If i would make a list it would prolly be smt like White america The ringer k--- you Premonition Evil deeds My name is Bad guy (if the first three verses wouldnt had felt so god d--- long this would probably be higher, amazing that he did hide the fact that he was rapping from Stans brothers perspective for so long and it made sense in the end, also i think everyone can agree that the 4th verse will go down as one of his best) 3 am Walk on water Cold wind blows
Apr 19, 2020 That song gave me hope that Recovery was going to be an amazing album. What a letdown most of the album was. But Cold Wind Blows is the s---. Underrated Em hook too IMO.
