I had it twice as a kid. s----d. Covered in spots that itch like crazy that you can't scratch. I was covered in calamine lotion and taking s-----y oatmeal baths. I heard if you get is an adult its way worse. Get a vaccine if you can

Yeah gonna look into vaccine tmrw. But it wont do no good I think if I already have it. Idk if I should see a Dr or just wait for symptoms.

Had it as a kid and it was aggravating, luckily I had it treated immediately.

As much as I’d hesitate bringing both you and your son to a Doc, especially in these times, chickenpox ain’t nothing to play with. Hope all turns out well tho.

If I remember right, adults are like 10-20 times more likely to die from chicken pox than kids. That may seem like a lot but the reality is, unvaccinated kids don’t usually die from it. You definitely don’t want to catch it but at the same time if I were you I honestly wouldn’t be stressing over it too much.

Call your doctor and see what’s up. If your kid already has it, I don’t think a vaccine will do you much good. I think it requires a couple shots spread out over several months. But either way, call the doc tomorrow and get concrete info. If you can get the vaccine and it’ll prevent you from catching it from your kid, you might as well do it.

Had it when I was a kid. I don’t remember it being that bad but like people have said I know it’s worse to get when you’re an adult.

I might be wrong but I thought shingles is something you get from the chickenpox virus laying dormant in your system for years after.

You are right What I’m saying is he can get the virus now without it being active and end up with Shingles in the next few years

I think you mean calamine, no? I mean, everyone should always stock up on chamomile tea but I’m not sure how useful that’ll be in treating chicken pox symptoms :)

For real, use chamomile tea in a bath, helps majorly with itching.
