Mar 27, 2021 Aight, lets get this back to life We had one before, starting a new one now. Basically, this thread is meant to discuss all things life, mostly everyday things or questions. No matter what topic. (Personally I rather keep politics out of it but yeah) First topic: how (well) can you handle the truth? To be more specific; do you think its more important telling or knowing the truth, even if knowing it makes u feel like s---? Or do you believe sometimes its better now knowing? I know the answer to this can be different given the situation, but in general, how do you feel about this ? @LifeSXN
Mar 27, 2021 I’d 100% rather be well informed rather than lied too, you can’t change bad habits etc if you think those bad habits are actually good lol. But Yh, can be different answers for different situations for sure... me personally I would rather be told the truth.
Mar 27, 2021 Yeah I think there (for me) lies a big difference. Bad habits its something u can change, so I rather have people tell me. Then I can still choose not to change but at least u have a choice. But when it comes to situations u can't change, and it only makes u or others feel bad, is it always wise to tell or know the truth?
Mar 27, 2021 I'm always trying to tell the truth when it comes to very serious things and also want to be told the truth. For any other occasion, sometimes it's better to not say anything at all. For example: One of my friends started doing TikToks and posted them on her instagram story. I thought It would be my duty as a friend to tell her that her TikToks makes everyone feel second hand embarassment. She started crying and is still mad at me so in hindsight I should have just shut my mouth.
Mar 27, 2021 Definitely. The second part ; depends on the person or situation at hand... it’s a tricky one.
Mar 27, 2021 Yeah but even though she was mad , eventually u did her a favour whether she sees it that way or not (at the moment). So maybe in time she will appreciate it, given the fact that others thought the same but didn't have the balls to say it. But like, knowing an ex gf cheated on you, or knowing u got an ilness that can't be made better... situations u cant change but only make u feel bad, I'm not sure if I would want to know
Mar 27, 2021 Use your head and discretion. It's a pretty specific question that can veer one way or another given the context. I always err towards honesty and truth, but know how to deliver it to people you know or strangers otherwise it can strain your relationship with anyone.
Mar 31, 2021 @LifeSXN How are you gonna plan in 2021? Like, take the risk of booking a vacation? Or wait till ur more sure its actually happening? For me, I'm kinda sure I can travel in Europe this summer. However, going on holiday and not being able to do whatever you want, is a waste of money for me. Also I like to travel to other continents as well.. and lets be real, how big are the chances the world will be 'normal' this year? Not going to usa , latin america or other continents w restrictions and uncertainties tbh. How are u dealing w 2021 when it comes to travelling/making plans etc ?
Mar 31, 2021 Not sure about travelling, but as soon as I have my second jab in May I will be working again (unsure on the job) I just hope everything doesn’t go into chaos mode again.
Mar 31, 2021 Wish I could travel. Instead the rest of my year is gonna be spent recovering from a major surgery. As far as traveling goes though, everywhere I want to go is international. Don’t get me wrong, there are places in the US I want to see. But at the end of the day it’s still the US. I’ve had a passport for years now and all it’s done is collect dust.
Jul 25, 2021 Time for a new question: How are you doing? No specific question, but all things considered in your life. It has been a weird 1.5 years for all of us, which was worse for some people more than others. And ofc its different how people can handle things. @LifeSXN
Jul 25, 2021 Moved into a house with my girlfriend away from the city a couple months ago, it’s been an adjustment but a whole lot of new experiences and s--- that’s part of finally being totally self sufficient lol edit: also gave up drinking and I’m deff the healthiest I’ve ever been
Aug 1, 2021 New one: coincidence vs fate @LifeSXN A lot of people say that everything happens for a reasons, and coincidence doesn't excist. How do you feel about it? Do you believe in fate ? Also did u ever experience a situation where you thought this can't be a coincidence?
Aug 1, 2021 Every once in awhile I MIGHT be more willing to say a situation is fate, but I think pretty much everything is just a coincidence. I guess for some people life is more exciting when you think the events are apart of a larger plan
Aug 1, 2021 I get what you're saying, it could give people comfort. On the other hand though; if you think everything happens for a reason / is set in stone, it could also give you the feeling that nothing you do really matters. Pretty boring and depressing thought tbh lol. Being able to make your own choices / decide your own fate seems more 'exciting' than a larger plan. Its also more a scary thought maybe, but still.
Aug 1, 2021 Good point. Something I can’t stand is people who say “it’s god’s plan” for the most minor things. I always found it weird that creationists think an all-knowing supreme being would give a s--- about them enough to meddle in their daily life.
Aug 1, 2021 True, plus the fact (this is deep s---) that... why bad things happen to good people? What reason could there be behind someone young dying of illness or because some criminal needed cash.
Aug 1, 2021 Word, brother. One of the main reasons I find it hard to believe in a god (a loving one at least) is all the f----- up s--- that happens to people who don’t deserve it.
Aug 1, 2021 This went from spn to religion real quick lmao but yes. I can understand a higher power, but one that actually cares for all of us? Hmm..
