Jul 16, 2015 Probably have to wait until he dies. Shady Records are notoriously greedy. It'd have to be to make money after he has passed.
Jul 16, 2015 I honestly don't think he has that much good material in the vault tbh. All the good s--- he recorded from 1999-03 most likely got released. However there's a ton of material from 2007-09 sitting in there. We know he had two whole albums scrapped (King Mathers and Relapse 2) and supposedly recorded "three albums worth of material" in 2008 and whittled that down to Relapse/Refill. But I highly doubt the majority of this material is any good. It was scrapped for a reason.
Jul 16, 2015 just because they were scrapped doesn't mean they are bad. the ronnie song was scrapped for a reason, that being family issues... but I can almost guarantee that song is far from bad
Jul 16, 2015 Paul hoping Em passes away before he does so he can release all the old material and make a fortune
Jul 16, 2015 This. No way anything un-released is put out until after he dies.. We're lucky to even get the Lose Yourself Demo
Jul 16, 2015 you're naive if you thin this. scrapped material has almost zero correlation to the quality of said material. You can't just put out 300 songs a year, especially if you are the biggest commercial rapper. Eminem is an artist; he most defintely has thousands of songs and countless examples of various styles and hella other s--- that we will never even know about. The limited info and scope we have on him is virutally meaningless when discussing the true reality of how deep this MFer really is into this s---.
Jul 16, 2015 didn't he say in an interview in '08 that he had recorded about 200 songs for Relapse and Relapse 2, but we only got to hear about 25 songs..
Jul 16, 2015 No, not while he is alive. I'm not sure if you guys are familiar with the story behind the SFTM sample, but it's very similar to that. When Em originally asked for it, Steven re-recorded it opposed to sending him the original. Em didn't want that one because he thought his voice in the updated version sounded bad, so he offended Steven when he told him he wanted the OG cut of Dream On instead. That led to a short dispute and the song almost got shelved (thank god it didn't) Em doesn't want people hearing early stuff because they'll say "He was so good back then, why can't his new music be like this" and that'll offend him
Jul 16, 2015 When you're an artist and make music you usually feel the stuff your doing at the present time is the best. Or at least, you want people to here the lastest s--- you've done.
