Jul 29, 2015 Since a lot of people are going to question why some rankings are where they are, I'll explain it. The Eminem Show - The maturity in this album is just amazing, and just about every song is good, with the exception of Drips. MMLP 2 - I know the hate this album gets on here, so hear me out. Production wise, it's a mess and there's nothing important addressed here or any theme going on, unlike most of his albums. I don't think some songs are all that great either. I wasn't feeling So Much Better (I liked it at first, but now I pretty much see it as a better version of Puke with a few good references, but that's about it), Love Game (I don't really care for Kendrick Lamar, but I have heard his Control verse, and this track is NOTHING compared to that), So Far (once again, a few good references but it fell flat with me, especially the first verse with all the toilet humor), and Stronger Than I Was (it feels SO out of place on this album), and Groundhog Day (repetitive beat, cannot even understand what Em is saying), but I was feeling tracks like Bad Guy, Rap God, Legacy, Brainless, Don't Front, and Headlights. Those tracks are amazing and very impressive. Bad Guy for being a worth sequel to Stan, Rap God for he creativity and speed, Brainless for that classic feel, Don't Front also for a classic feel, but in a different way than Brainless, Headlights for finally apologizing to his mom. Tracks like Rhyme or Reason, Bezerk, Survival, Wicked Ways, and The Monster are also fun too, so that's why I see this as his second best album. MMLP - The original will always be a classic. With only two real duds (Remember Me and Amittyville), it's a great album. There's nothing else to really add. Recovery - Eminem was mature here, more mature than he's ever been. He goes over a lot of things in this album, things that needed to be addressed. Sure, he was more commercial and poppish here, but I wouldn't consider that selling out or anything. Yes, he was attempting to aim for a broader audience with this album, but he still was trying his best, and it shows. SSLP - It's a classic. It's insane, crazy, has a great lyrics, and it put Em on the map. Shady XV - It's a good compilation album, with old tracks and brand new ones to enjoy. 8 Mile Soundtrack - Yes, it has Lose Yourself, but there's a lot of other good songs on this album. Relapse Refill - Shorter than Relapse, but better. It was not only disturbing like Relapse, but also fun and creepy at the same time. Relapse - This is a somewhat solid album, but everything, except rhyme scheme and beats, felt less. The horror wasn't even that creepy and more disturbing than anything else. Infinite - His first album, but not as good as his later stuff. The Re Up - In my opinion, his most mediocre album. Not his worst, but most mediocre. Some tracks have grown on me, but it still isn't all that good. Encore - His worst and most disappointing album.
Jul 29, 2015 MMLP > SSLP > TES > Relapse > MMLP2 > Recovery > Encore > Infinite The 8 Mile soundtrack doesn't really count, neither does Shady XV or The Re-Up
Jul 29, 2015 From your list I would personally swap recovery and the 8 mile sound track but other than that solid list.
Jul 29, 2015 You put MMLP2 on the same level as SSLP, MMLP and TES? MMLP2 over 8 Mile soundtrack? Lol, Lose Yourself and 8 Mile Road alone b---- slaps the f--- out of MMLP2. You should have another category called flawless or extraordinary for the first 3 albums.
Jul 29, 2015 The reason I put MMLP 2 so high was because of the good tracks. They're all great, and really show off his skills. By the way, this picture is actually a modified version of the reviews this guy made. http://mlp-vs-capcom.deviantart.com/ If you can find his "Tower" reviews you'll see he has extra ratings I removed.
Jul 29, 2015 1. The Eminem Show 2. The Marshal Mathers LP 3. The Slim Shady LP 4. Recovery 5. Encore 6. The Marshal Mathers LP 2 7. Relapse
Jul 29, 2015 i don't care for THAT slim shady.. mmlp is much better the looniest, zaniest, spontaneous, sporadic eminem is my least favorite of the eminems
Jul 29, 2015 Honestly the ranking of his first 3 and his last 4 is too hard for me. The first 3 all have different things I love, and his last 4 have different things I don't like.. ranking encore, recovery and mmlp2 is pretty impossible for me because they all have a few songs I really like, but also embarrassing songs I never want to hear again. They all have been discussed to death and since they're all equally average overall imo it just depends on my mood which I like the most -or dislike the least- I guess it just depends on what you like, same goes with his first.. you can like his nasal voice on sslp, or you don't, which means you probably pick tes as his best etc
Jul 29, 2015 TES MMLP SSLP MMLP2 Recovery Relapse Encore (TES/MMLP and RElapse/Encore always switch spots depending on how i feel)
