Sep 24, 2015 Is this song, Eminem is rapping about getting famous and being rich, and how he is never too far to getting to what he wants. For one, I like how upbeat and hopeful this song is. Eminem literally says he has a baby on the way and doesn't even have a car, not only that, but he broke, and is getting dissed by other MC's for being white. Even with all of these stressful situations, he stayed happy and hopeful, but even he did lose hope at some point. He actually wrote Rock Bottom back in 1995 and immediately after recording the song, he tried to k--- himself. Thankfully, it failed. Other than that, he did stay hopeful and happy, and thankfully he did get famous and become the Eminem we all know and love today, so to me, it's a pretty good track. Em has a great flow, good lyrics, and a nice beat. Also this song gives me hope. I want to be popular somewhere, whether that be on here, Twitter, DA, YT, or at my school. I also want to be able to have lots of money and be famous one day, and this songs kind of inspires me, especially with that hook. You can do anything, and you're never far away from it as long as you try to do something to get to where you want to be. Honestly, this is a pretty underrated song, and I can't be the only one who feels like this. So, what do you guys think about the song?
Sep 24, 2015 Great post, lil bro. But I have to tell you this. Money and fame isn't all that it's cracked up to be. You'll live and learn as you grow older
Sep 24, 2015 it was in 1996 after infinite flopped he tried to k--- himself edit: according to genius it was autumn of '97 but he wrote this song around December 20th '96 http://genius.com/Eminem-rock-bottom-lyrics
Sep 25, 2015 Don't wanna be devil's advocate or anything. But I feel that when he was broke, he actually cared about his homies. You know: Pace, Soul Intent dudes, Zee, D12 etc. After his rehab, it feels like he just cut ties with everybody except DeNaun.
Sep 25, 2015 think deNaun is brainwashing him, he might of killed proof too, wanted to be the hype man
