Serious Thoughts on a draft?

    Not sure why I've been up all morning thinking about it, but the concept of one happening again is horrifying to me.

    I highly doubt the US will participate in a conflict that I will support enough to want to participate in. Tell @Mike Tyson to have his couch ready for my a--- in Canada.

    At this day in age I doubt the U.S. will ever enter a conflict where they'll need to enact the draft. That would probably mean that WW3 has started which is just unlikely.

    Sorry if I'm just not into throwing away my life on a s--- war that was started and fueled by my government and then dumped on me to deal with while the people in control and their family's are pretty much exempt from it.

    I think it's a horrible thing that the age on the draft is the way it is too, kids could get drafted right out of f---ing high school and thrown into the front lines to die before they've even lived if some sort of conflict would arise that brought one into play. Like why do we even live in a world like that where something like that could happen? It's awful. Makes my stomach churn...

    Sometimes we have to fight for our freedom and our children's freedom. Its our duty as human beings to make sure the world is in good shape for the next generation. Sometimes we have to go to war to ensure that. I don't see a draft happening but you better be ready to defend this country if it does and not run away. Or you might as well just run away now.

    It would be hard to see the us draft again.. But then again who knows. If it came down to it, I would probably join voluntarily since I would be able to pick what branch I would serve in. And I would be proud to fight if it was for something meaningful unlike Vietnam or something

    If the US starts drafting again, I'll start accepting you Americans as refugees. It'll cost you a couple of hundred as a down payment and you're free to live in my shed. You can lay low here till the war dies down, I'm pretty sure you'd have to be off the radar in case of deportation, but that's ok i'll hit you all with some packs you can sell. Don't worry guys I got you.
