    True, but it's thin picking in NY. I like that he has a 90s tinge without being obnoxious about it. He's really solid technically even if his writing is a bit colorless at times. I could see him putting out a decent tape eventually.

    yeah i think if you get him a big enough budget and the right a&r, he puts out a mostly-good album one day, but we all said the same about jadakiss.

    He has two tapes out: Black Rose and Hate Me Now. The first was better imo.

    I don't think too many people would mind having Jada's career. Papoose getting signed for $2 million was worse.

    i'm not saying jada's had a bad career or that his albums are trash. i'm just saying his skill set doesn't really translate into making great solo albums. i don't think dave east is a bad rapper by any means, but so far he's basically had the effect on me where i see one of his videos, go "oh, yeah," and turn on 90s nyc stuff.

    I don't think there's a reliable way to predict whether or not he progresses, but I can't disagree with the second part. He still bores me less than Ka and people adore him.

    there's no accounting for taste, and if he bores you he bores you, but nah, those two are not similar writers and they're wildly different rappers.
