Drake is Summer 6ixteen a single?

    The song has now been released on iTunes and Drake has said on OVO Sound Radio that it is off views but.. I think everyone can agree that the song itself is more a hype-song than an actual album caliber song. If the song is a single then a video should be coming right? The song doesn't really have any radio appeal (it will get played anyway) and also the references in the song can/will also become dated eventually.


    Is the song a Single of Views or a song on Views (maybe bonus disc) that is hyping up the album. Could this be the 'All Me' of Views?

    just because it isn't very good doesn't mean it isn't a single. Its just not a Pop single like Hold On & Find Your Love which mist likely is what the next single will be more similar to.

    I think at most it'll be a bonus track. I think it's just a street single similar to what 5am was though.

    Well no, it's different to 5am in that it's been officially released on itunes straight away and pushed. Drake rarely does that.

    I don't even think it'll be a bonus cut. Views is a full 2 months away, 3 if it drops late April. Beyond that, the content is too specific to be listenable months from now, let alone years.

    yeah ikr, it's like an Eminem single (old em) the reference hes making get outdated like a year later and dont really have a kick behind them after a while. Especially with the DJ Khaled thing and the whole Meek s---. I feel that Views shouldn't have any meek 'Diss' songs maybe some subliminals but should be Drake doing Drake not Drake being a savage

    I know on the beats 1 stream, where the album name should be rather than "Summer 6ixteen - Single" it said "Views from the Six" but who knows if that means anything.

    A diss track wouldn't necessarily bring down the quality of the album. Look at The Blueprint (Takeover) & Stillmatic (Ether & Destroy/Rebuild).

    It released as a single even though I think it's a wacker single than any other Drake first singles, it's probably gonna do well.
