Feb 3, 2016 the reason this 2013 performance interest me, is because he isn't talking the way he did on recovery. It's more sly and sounds less angry and less impact. And Em hasn't sounded angry or had that "screaming" like voice since 2011 really. I know he may not want it anymore on his new records but when performing that song off recovery you think he would want to emulate how he sounded when he made it, because his monotone voice does sounds kinda awkward and doesn't really fit with not afraid. Do you think he just hates the screaming sound so much he doesn't want to emulate it, or are his lungs not wanting to take the screaming lol.
Feb 3, 2016 Usually I can't stand listening to that song. The lack of yelling makes it much more bearable
Feb 3, 2016 he's not exactly on a big stage so yelling like that may seem a bit overboard. probably keeping it a bit quieter considering they are in a studio and not in front of thousands of people
Feb 3, 2016 That was one of the first things I noticed. I am curious how this mistake came about. Surprised he even performed with it.
Feb 3, 2016 Performance is good. I think the real question it that video can be why the h--- are they showing that vocalist girl that much even though her voice is not heard at all ? I usually don't like live instruments in hip hop but this one was as good as the original one
Feb 3, 2016 Sounds indeed better but that fat f--- kind of ruins it. And the lyrics are still cringe worthy
Feb 3, 2016 the elto johhn performance is obviously goat but the one youre referring to is so calm especially at the beginning, I really like it
Feb 4, 2016 Really like his delivery on this one, I think I prefer it to the album version. Talking about dope live performances since his comeback this one springs to mind: He sounds so natural here... what happened?
