Nothing I haven't expected so far. I agree with Kaine more but they both annoy me and don't give me faith. Kaine kept interrupting in the beginning (at least it seemed so at the gym with only captions) which was annoying and the moderator was literally begging them to let her move on just now lol. Even still, it's been decently substantive.

Ew, Pence is arguing to expand the military which is such a ridiculous idea. We have 54% of our budget to it and if you combine the amount of bases in foreign bases by other countries it's not half of the US's

He's essentially Trump in politician form which is scary af.

As far as the debate goes, Pence is undeniably a better performer than Kaine. I hate to say that with a presidential debate but performances arguably matters more than substance when it comes to the general public. Neither of them were perfect though, Pence refused to fall into the trap of defending some of Trump's outrageous statements/claims or at least he did so the best he could. He resorted to saying that Kaine was lying or misinterpreting Trump's position even though he really wasn't. That's both a pro and con depending from where you look at it. Kaine's anxiousness got the best of him at times, cutting off Pence quite a bit. He also sounded very robotic/rehearsed at times which might not play well with independents.

Polls showing that people believe Pence slightly edged Kaine in the debate which doesn't surprise me. Like I said before, Pence's performance was a lot better. I believe Pence's experience as a talk radio host really helped him in this debate. As far as substance goes, I think it was pretty even, maybe a slight edge to Kaine. Kaine dropped the ball in a lot of angles he could have pressed Pence on. He mentioned once that Pence voted against raising the federal minimum wage from $5 to $7 in 2007. He should have continued to press Pence on that since it obviously made him uncomfortable. Also, he could have hit Pence harder on his stances on social issues. Denying the existence of institutional racism/insinuating that an African-American police officer can't have implicit bias against African-American citizens which we know isn't true or his record on gay marriage. Pence advocated for conversion therapy, im not even sure Kaine mentioned that which is a big missed opportunity.

Mike Pence would be better than Trump, Tim Kaine would be worse than Hillary Clinton, dont think it will be a factor in this election though
