I worked my a--- off for about a year to save up for Christmas. When I got my total, I shipped it to family up north to get the gift I've worked towards that's up where I used to live.

They spent my money on themselves and have no means of paying me back

At a lost for words and I'm more stupid to be mad over this knowing this would occur, so this is a message for any adolescent coming up how I am:

In life, you just have to accept things the way they are and do mostly things your way. Don't expect anything grand. Don't expect that one person to have your back. Don't expect everyone to be your friend. Don't expect anyone to give you a helping hand, because in the end, all you have is yourself and no one else. Work for your own, spend your own, dream for yourself and you'll live a prosperous life.

Yep. Found out just a few minutes ago. Wanted it to ship before Christmas but my money is gone. Can't even depend on family. Should of just done it myself so I guess its my fault

I wanted to buy an item that was exclusively found where they lived. I shipped them money through the mail to buy my item and send it back to me or I'll collect it when I went to visit, but they used it for their own goods.

I felt like that too, but that's how life is I suppose. And preciate it, Just wanted to post my story just in case someone my age thinks the good things that happen to them will forever stay good
