Oct 19, 2015 TES is quite possibly my favorite hip-hop album ever. Both classics (obviously), but i'll go with TES.
Oct 19, 2015 The Eminem Show is interesting in that it furthers the self-examination from parts of MMLP: em acknowledges the roles his race/affiliations/singles have afforded him relative to other rappers. he's not surprising or exciting like he was in 1998 or 1999, but he's rapping well and there are a handful of great songs. the beats are, on the whole, bad, and there are more saccharine moments than ones that stick with you for the right reasons. Aquemini is one of the most important records in the history of rap, because there's not a single one that takes high art aspirations and injects them with as much soul and humanity. (To p---- a Butterfly aims for this and fails. it should speak volumes that an artist as talented as kendrick can't hold a candle to what outkast did with the same idea.) what's the worst song? synthesizer? this is a masterpiece.
Oct 19, 2015 Eminem is one of my favorite rappers, easily in my top 5, i f---in LOVE Eminem Show, i'd still say Aquemini though, its a masterpiece imo.

Oct 19, 2015 Maybe it's because I had such high standards after listening to ATLiens (First Outkast album I heard, and an album I hold in high regard). Not sure. I'll definitely have to revisit Aquemini sometime this week. I remember the first song being really good
Oct 19, 2015 Andre 3000 is an incredible Lyricist easily a top 5 greatest of all time Technical Lyricist. But his hooks and his singing are really terrible shockingly terrible. And that put's me of Outkasts music
