Dec 18, 2014 Who else seen this Movie? tried to find a thread and couldn't. I liked it a lot. i like the second one a little bit better since the story was spot on from beginning to end.........The beginning of this one was f---ing epic but when they say "5 armies" you kind of expect a battle between 5 armies lol. Overall id say 8.5/10 pretty good imo.............btw the elf with the moose was bad a--- and the elf Queen was pretty amazing
Dec 19, 2014 I haven't watched it yet. But it still pisses me off they made a 320 page book into three movies. They added soooooo much bs.
Dec 19, 2014 8.5 really? That movie was f---ing awful. I seriously hope they stop splitting these movies into different parts because these idiots have no idea how to make a solid film on filler. That scene where he takes the wagon and kills the giant is so f---ing ridiculous. The kids couldn't even move out the way? They HAD to duck under it? God these movies just exsist to tarnish the legacy that is LOTR. I'm surprised the rating of this film is above 50% on rotten tomotoes lol ugh.
Dec 21, 2014 *spoiler* Is it worse than the first one? I assume the entire movie is filler. Since the only thing left after the end of #2 was killing smaug and then the battle. See I thought originally the book was going to be split in two then the third movie was going to be a bridge between the hobbit and LOTR. I didn't realize the were making one book into three movie until I saw the second one in theaters. At the end of the movie I was like, uuuhhh wtf they left out the battle and s---. Lol
Dec 21, 2014 The movie was enjoyable for what it is, but I agree that it's a lot of filler. Out of the 6 movies (LOTR + Hobbit), this is the worse without a doubt.
Dec 21, 2014 It wasn't the worst one for me, I liked it more than the first. It was most similar to the two towers because of the huge battle, and pretty much 70% of the movie was war. They did a good job with the war, s--- was epic.
Dec 21, 2014 There is some real great action, so if that makes a movie for you then you will enjoy it. Although the story and character development seems pushed and mostly filler, as someone mentioned, they made a trilogy out of something that didn't have to be. This movie exposes this big time, especially since Smaug not having such a big part as he did in the second movie.
Dec 22, 2014 the beginning was epic with smaug lol but they should of made a part 4 with nothing but war considering all the emo scenes they added in on this one
Jan 2, 2015 I just watched it for the first time. I don't really understand why they had to make Smaug's death look so childish, I'm talking about the tongue here. Oh and Bilbo's huge ad-lib f--- up. And at the end the mountains entrance is suddenly build and looks completely fine while the dwarfs is standing in the gate opening, even tho it was destroyed through the whole movie, yikes. I didn't quite enjoy this, but I guess in a few weeks I will sit down and give it a try again.
