    Fun fact: I was originally going to name the thread "Cole Bashing Logic", but that would imply that Cole dissed Logic which as far as I know, never happened.
    Does anybody else really hate it when people talk about how much they hate Cole, and when asked for a reason, they just say "lmao xanax rap" and/or "he makes me fall asleep" and the like?
    I mean, I love Cole, and I'm also not afraid to admit that he does make the occasional boring track, which especially looks bad on his non-conscious songs. Still, the amount of hate Cole gets, especially on KTT (it's cancerous there) is unnessary.
    Just because he's not a "trap" or "drill" or "trill" (what the f--- is that, a portmanteau?) artist doesn't mean he's garbage, it just means he's different. Rap or society in general for that matter would be boring as f--- if everyone sounded the same.

    It's funny to me how it's arguably the most active hip-hop forum despite being one of the least advanced, compared to this site for example.
    This site is like KTT on Steroids and maturity.

    I agree, he's one of the few rappers who cares about the old school enough to do homages to it; It's not that he's not drill or trap, it's that he can't make a consistent release... yet; I'm hoping he'll have that classic in his books because I'm tired of all the jokes against J. Cole and I'm tired of not being to like all his discography. Not because of Cole haters but because much of it isn't very good.

    I think a lot of people don't really believe that Cole is truly garbage. They just make Twitter jokes for the sake of RTs/Likes and they like the negative attention they receive. Most people don't provide any constructive criticism. They just crack the jokes because they see other people do it and think it's cool/funny.

    He's just not as good as advertised which makes people "hate". He's a overrated rapper who makes 5 good songs every 2 years.

    Cole hate is basically a meme

    Though Born sinner is pretty trash, FNL is an amazing tape FHD is a decent album

    His biggest critiscism is that he is generic, thats where all the talk of him being "boring" comes from.

    That's my best guess tbh.
    Almost every KTT thread is quote upon quote of either "I slept through (Cole album/song name)" or the "double platinum with no features" meme.
    Sometimes, it seems like they're not even joking either.

    He has the occasional boring song, but most artists do.

    I genuinely all jokes aside find him boring as h---.... No one around me is a fan or hater of him just simply dont acknowledge him...

    I would see someone using genetic to describe his first two albums since he tried to go mainstream with those. However, I wouldn't use that adjective to describe TWU, FNL, FHD, and his truly yours series.
