Dec 18, 2017 I'm not talking about those of you that would change out a few tracks. I'm talking to those that just hate it completely and think that in 2017 Eminem should be making different material. For those completely disappointed, what exactly did you want? Demonstrate the type of beat he should be using and the exact flows he should be using. I just don't get how you can hate the album. Had a lot of features but still a great listen. If you don't like songs like Offended, I'm not sure what you want. He rapped about Haile, he discussed Trump, talked about Kim, talked about hoes, etc.... What exactly is it that you want him to rap about? I don't get it.
Dec 18, 2017 Raw hip hop beat, smooth flows (any flow he used from 1999-2003) and a dope concept album. Quite simple, no ?
Dec 18, 2017 Eminem kinda lost that artistic sense. Make a concept album (shorter one), no pop features, purely hip hop, experiment with some f---ing samples (out of movies, games) be more creative and is it hard to mix an album right?
Dec 18, 2017 This is assuming that the problem is with the content, which for me is not the case (although concepts like Framed are extremely tired), my problem is with the execution. The cringeworthy punchlines and flow like he can't even hear the beat he's rapping to. He needs to work on rapping like a human before anything else.
Dec 18, 2017 Okay this is what I'm talking about. So many people like you complain but say very general things. I need examples.
Dec 18, 2017 So what type of song? Give me an example. All the people that hate it seem very general.
Dec 18, 2017 He can start by not making "playful" songs anymore because he hasn't been able to make a decent one to save his life since 2004 and he's only gotten worse. Heat and Offended make me miss the Big Weenie days.
Dec 18, 2017 I like a good amount of Revival, but the whole album is just basically one big Cop-out. Instead of taking his content in a new direction, instead of giving a coherent all the way through theme, em decided to just take the best from his older sounds and shove them all together onto one album. The only real new sounds you are hearing are on Chloraseptic and Believe. (yes there are political tracks and yes he apologizes to Kim) but it seems that he was faced with either creating a new and exciting sound, such as an album of modern sounds like on believe, or maybe a through and through political album and he instead chose to rehash his past material for most of the album instead.
Dec 18, 2017 How in the World can you say Big Weenie is better than a song like Offended? I don't understand that.
Dec 18, 2017 At this point, anything with a good flow. It's not that people are expecting too much, it's just that Eminem has been switching from one bad habit to another over the past several years. First it was the accents. He ditched that and replaced it with the non stop yelling. Then he ditched that and replaced it with the choppy stop and go flow. Can we just have a normal song?
