Jun 12, 2015 Reposting this from the other thread: Ok so I've already explained how I think Travis has become depressed from overuse of ecstacy, and I think the changing of Drunk reflects that. The original Drunk was more of a party, Basement Freestyle type of song. Now look at it. It's distorted, haunting, eerie, and somewhat depressing, all while retaining some elements of its old bangerish state, almost like its clinging on to that. Travis verse is the same way, everything he's saying is typical b-----r s---, but the way he says it is deeply saddening. You can tell he's not really meaning what he says, he's not in that mindset. He's depressed and putting on a front, which perfectly fits the entire direction of the song. And then Thug being normal it slightly whiny/not as happy sounding fits the vibe while also keeping it from veering into depressing territory It's his version of Solace by Earl, cleverly disguised as another Drugs You Should Try
