    Franco wrote and performed in Palo Alto. That was pretty decent.

    The book was amazing, but the film to me was a huge letdown. Although I think Hill and Franco both did well, they really should've incorporated Longo's past in flashbacks and had fewer scenes in the present. It would've helped humanize him like in the book; I didn't really care about him as a person in the film.
