    I'm willing to admit rap music is growing pretty stagnant at the top levels. Obviously there are still plenty of interesting acts, it's a vast genre, but the mainstream is congealing into a samey blob of toothless nu-trap. A lot of these guys are virtually indistinguishable from one another.

    It’s dominant, doesn’t mean people don’t think it’s stale. People still had that opinion when sing song pop was big.

    I get your point, but I'm speaking to a certain audience. In some regards, I would defend the current zeitgeist. I don't think the sound is meritless, it's just so oversaturated by this point.
