Jul 9, 2016 yeah vince you look tough challenging all these old n----s. also was talking s--- to Nore
Jul 9, 2016 So what though like he may not respect Jamar but his music bumping and Jamars one album is a flop, Jamar ain't an OG lmao
Jul 9, 2016 Also everyone Jamar has talked about is a better artist than himself, other than macklemore
Jul 9, 2016 yeah he definitely comes off as bitter in these djvlad interviews. but hes allowed to voice his opinion. his perspective is interesting sometimes (even though hes wrong as s--- sometimes)
Jul 9, 2016 well he never said 2000s were better he just said he doesn't know why the '90s get as much credit as they do, and he's right to an extent.
Jul 9, 2016 Yeah and as all of that was unfolding he admitted that he hadn't listened to a lot of the classic 90s records. so that explains why he wouldnt know. he's too young to get that. I think he said his favorite artist was bow wow. He said the 90s didnt have a 50 cent or a kanye lool..
Jul 9, 2016 The 90s didn't have a 50 cent or a kanye though, or a MF Doom or a Childish Gambino or a Kendrick even though people love to compare him 2 pac lol he is not, or a Earl Sweatshirt or a etc etc. But the 2000s aint got a tribe, we don't have a Biggie or Nas, so I can't really decide but if we're talking about overall variety 2000's have much more sounds, I can listen to earl to switch to thugger back to keef and they're all so many different sounds.
Jul 9, 2016 First off I don't know what he even means when he says there the 90's didnt have a "50 cent or a kanye", it shows a lack of understanding on Vince's part, that would imply that 50 cent's street music is original or that the archetype for Kanye's rapping style and instrumentals wasn't done in the 90s. Nearly everything that the 2000s did, the 90s already did, and did it better. Gambino is not a trademark of anything. Plenty of monotone, lyrically dense spitters like Earl were around in the 90s. The quality and consistency of the 90s by the way absolutely blows away any possible argument that the 00s would be any better. Just look at 1996 alone. There were so many great albums coming out in that era, every single year.
