Nov 9, 2015 So after I had a very little beef with someone here because I didn't know WHO Vince Staples is and calling one of his songs "nothing special" after hearing the half of the s---, I believe that song was the Nurf Nurf btw, I finally listened to his Summertime '06. Found it enjoyable. I kinda felt like having enough few times as I'm listenin' to the whole thing but something made me keep listenin' everytime. All in all, He is really good. Enjoyed the first listen. Gonna give it a spin one more time later.. As for Travis Scott, I've been hearing the name for quite some time and decided to give his Rodeo album a listen. Well, turned it off after the joint with 2 Chainz & Future. I don't know but so much autotone and that Future-ish music is givin' me headache... So I want you to name new rappers that you think are dope
Nov 9, 2015 well you just named 2 of them. vince staples is much better than travis, but rodeo was still a good album. seeing as u really like lyrics, i think you'd be a lil herb fan. check out Cozz too. he's signed to J. Cole's Dreamville imprint. here's a list of some more joey badass and all of pro era saba raury (even tho i can't stand him) earthgang (if u like outkast or flatbush) towkio all are fairly lyrical. i don't necessarily consider all of them "new school" or unknown, but based on the stuff you've been posting, these are my best bets on artists you'd like.

Nov 9, 2015 Summertime 06' was top 5 this year in terms in albums. Travis is someone that grows on you. Obviously, you wouldn't like him...because his sound is polar opposite of what you are used to. Rodeo had some d--- good songs on it, you just have to get used to the autotune and understand while his lyrics are garbage, his production makes up for his weakness.

Nov 9, 2015 summer knights is a little worse than 1999 but still good. a lot, or most of, it was recorded after steez's death. u can definitely tell he sounds somewhat depressed in a lot of it. can a person sound depressed???
