Dec 14, 2017 THERE ARE TWO DISTINCT VOCAL CUTS FOLLOWING "And if things should worsen--" on Castle at 3:46 And on Arose at 3:38 On Castle it's a little harder to tell for sure that it wasn't recorded in the era but in my opinion based on the few more words we have it was not Arose is definitely different, the pitch is obviously higher and Em's voice lacks of rasp for the remainder of the song Castle up until that bar was definitely very old
Dec 14, 2017 The times you have are bad mixing, not new vocals that part was probably recorded seperate from the verses and then edited in for both parts. The time you gave on Arose, I'm still investigating though. "Mathers" is the only concrete example of a new layer I can hear.
Dec 14, 2017 Yeah the part in Arose is definitely a cut, but there is no pitch shift to indicate it was recorded years later
Dec 14, 2017 The Arose cut is DEFINITELY 100% new vocals. His rasp completely disappears and his voice matches what we here on the rest of the album. It is not debateable-- the cut is there. What are the odds the other cut happens on the same bar on Castle? It's a new cut too, Em just doesn't say enough after it to fully determine it.
Dec 14, 2017 What about the fact that you can hear a change in the pitch of his voice? That's what I'm talking about. It's completey different
Dec 14, 2017 Its the same vocals, that's why its cut in. I doubt he recorded one line "If things worsen" as new vocals. That part is cut in but only because it's indentical from both parts.
Dec 14, 2017 No no No f---ing no I'm not saying "if things worsen" are cuts They're the same, I'm talking what immediately follows I'm sorry man you're killing me because you're misunderstanding everything
Dec 14, 2017 There is a cut into a new vocal immediately after "if things worsen" on Arose I swear on my f---ing life @ 3:37
Dec 14, 2017 the cut is right after if things should worsen on both because a new section of rap is spliced in. It's not recorded over like the Mathers section is though. The voice doesn't change abnormally for two cuts from the same session. The Mathers part has an abnormal voice in comparison, albeit very subtle.
Dec 14, 2017 I disagree. 0:00 to "if things worsen" are definitely old, the splice that comes in following is definitely new His voice gets higher pitched and loses the raspiness and for lack of a better phrase spittiness on the rest of the track There is definitely NOT another session vocal on the Mathers LP2 part, it's an addition to Recovery and completely follows the rhyme scheme he had already started
Dec 14, 2017 Basically it seems he had two third verses written for Castle and he ended up using one for the last half of Arose. At some point after the original recording of castle (2009-2010), he spliced in the line "Mathers LP2, help propel me to victory laps" after (2013) the lp2/propel me to rhyme isn't used after that and if you remove that he says "I'm bout to (like a rematch), outdo relapse with recovery" the pitch is off on Mathers and laps, indicating it was recorded over the original line.
Dec 14, 2017 @George Costanza He goes from recovery era "And if things worsen..." To Paul Rosenberg small frozen turd modern high pitched "but I betcha they won't" for the rest of the verse It's a definitive new vocal session just LISTEN man The Mathers LP line is NOT where the new vocal starts. He starts the rhyme scheme with "I'm proud to, be back" at 3:48
Dec 14, 2017 @George Costanza mathers lp 2 is definitely not the start of the new vocal session It completely fits into the rhyme scheme He says relapse with recover-rymath, ers LP2 Please understand what I'm saying
Dec 14, 2017 Bruh the rhyme scheme "LP2/propel me to" has no other rhymes, the Recovery, line makes more sense without Mathers LP2 at the end, the scheme changes immediately after as well, and the pitch shifts slightly up on Mathers and slightly down on laps
Dec 14, 2017 Wrong "I'm proud to Be back I'm bout to like a rematch I'll do, relapse with recover-rymath, ers LP2
