ABC's sitcom "Black-ish" is in the midst of its second season. In a new promo, the kids of the show decide they need to make a music video to become an "overnight viral sensation." So, they recruit Kendrick Lamar for a cameo. The video features clips from the show, along with the cast and Kendrick rapping "Alright" while he eats out of a big red bowl on a couch. Watch it below, viaRap-Up.

Coincidentally, "Black-ish" was one of the Obamas' favorite TV shows of 2015. President Obama's choice forsong of the yearwas Kendrick's To Pimp a Butterflycut "How Much a Dollar Cost."

Kendrick has had a busy week. He appeared on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" where he debuted "Untitled 2." Kanye West then previewed a snippet of a song with Kendrick called "No More Parties in LA." And tonight, Kendrick is scheduled to make his "Austin City Limits" debut.

    it changed real quick though,

it reminds me of Backseat freestyle, everyone was shitting on it and then people did a complete 180 on it a few months later :sweatt:

pretty sure its place in the recent civil rights movements has more to do with it than the actually quality of the track. i thought it was a great song and contrast to i since the album dropped. majority thought it was dull except for when he goes off at that one part, and underwhelming compared to the rest of the album

doubt it, I saw the same people that were shitting on it saying it was the best song on the album just a few weeks after the release of tpab, and it was before people started singing it.

no, i remember this too. it was just people realizing its one of the few songs that actually works as a standalone track. thats actually enjoyable to listen to on its own, like king kunta, or TBTB. while they realized the rest of the album worked better a whole

Some of my friends were like: "its trash" and 2 days later they were talking about it as the greatest thing ever on facebook lol.

I still wonder how an opinion can change like that in a matter of a few hours :ummmm:
