Apr 23, 2017 Delivery > rhyme scheme You can have the most complex rhyme scheme or simple rhyme scheme, if your delivery isn't good, it's not going to sound good. This is why when I hear "underground rappers" spit twenty thousand bars in under a minute, it does very little for me. Anyone can spit multis, that doesn't necessarily lead to a good song/music.
Apr 23, 2017 Well thought out bars, that fit with the theme/message of the song, not random ones for the sake of it thrown in, simple rhymes, complex rhymes I'm good with either as long as the beat is good and the rapper is musically gifted enough to ride the beat or match the mood of it
Apr 23, 2017 agreed like it's impressive, but outside of how good it looks in a "worlds fastest most complex rapper" video or a page of the guiness book, it's s--- if its solely what the rapper is relying on. shouldn't have to do davinci code puzzle mental gymnastics to find out what someone is saying. the best rap sounds good.

Apr 23, 2017 Delivery and flow, that's why big is one of my favourites along with big pun their flow was just crazy the way they rhymed words internally and how they began the next ryhme scheme before ending the first was amazing and they made it seem effortless which made it even better
Apr 23, 2017 Before 2005 Eminem was the best at making multi syllable rhymes seem secondary to the message in his music. Don't get me wrong I hate the music he makes now, but songs like Stan and Renegade and really anything from that 5 year period can be used as an example of exactly how to use multi syllable rhymes
