Nov 19, 2017 Curious to know who here has a good appreciation for one of the true goats. If I had to say my top 3 its probably 1. Low 2. The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars 3. Space Oddity with Heroes being a close 4th.
Nov 19, 2017 never too late to change that! i realize he ain't for everybody but i think his music has a really lasting quality to it. He has a variety of sounds but honestly i'd give him a try. those 3 i named would probably be what i recommend someone to listen to
Nov 19, 2017 I suppose I'd call it Rock but its got elements of many genres in it and doesn't always adhere to a title.
Nov 19, 2017 Blackstar was really terrific! It'll probably move up my list as I form more of an attachment to it
Nov 19, 2017 My man! I'm gonna make a reply to this but I gotta think it out. I don't take anything Bowie lightly.
Nov 19, 2017 1. Station to Station 2. Heroes 3. Low/Blackstar Station to Station at 1 because every song on there is a hit and it's truly a unique time in his life. The title track being a classic & maybe his best song of all time. Heroes at 2 because it's an iconic/experimental album that had some really different and great songs, along with amazing ambient style music. & I couldn't have only 3 so I put Low & Blackstar together because they are both experimental as well and the average Bowie fan wouldn't like them. But the music on each is outta this world, just fabulous. I probably could have detailed this better but I'm kinda drunk. @Big Dangerous & @COLLEGROVE listen to anything from Bowie, you'll be glad you did.
Nov 19, 2017 tbh i've only partially listened to ziggy and that's it a couple tracks aside, I've never really been into bowies music from what I've heard
Nov 19, 2017 low heroes ziggy need to give some more spins to some of the undermentioned albums from his catelogue, though
Nov 19, 2017 Black Tie White Noise, The Man Who Sold the World, Heathen. Some more underrated great Bowie albums.
Nov 20, 2017 @CavalierTillDeath ahaha i knew you would be in here. Station to Station is definitely a great one! if i extended my list it'd be 5th or 6th, with The Man Who Sold the World being in the other spot.
