Jul 27, 2016 The two worst teams in the NBA last season with a bright future ahead. I think the Lakers will end up winning more after 82 games but I think the Sixers will be able to win at least 30 games this season. @NBAsxn
Jul 27, 2016 I'd go with the Lakers, they just have more talent and have been together longer. It'll be close though, I think Simmons will raise the level of the other guys on the roster, granted they find a good trade for one of the 3 big men. Add a poll @Soldier
Jul 27, 2016 IDC as long as they both win more then the Nets lol... Hard to say though, Embiid & Saric are complete wild cards as is how Ben Simmons meshes with the rest of the team. Can say what you want about his supporting cast at LSU but he should have been able to lead a team to the tourney on his back. Lakers do have Larry Nance Jr. so hard to not go with them
Jul 27, 2016 Lakers should win more. Both will be complete a---. But I think five years from now, Sixers are the better team.
Jul 27, 2016 going with the sixers cause they have a future goat on that roster, and a talent that the NBA is very blessed to have. yup, joel embiid
Jul 27, 2016 Lakers fosho. Simmons is good but I don't know that he'll be able to lead a team like that to a decent record. There will be a lot of struggles IMO. The Lakers, although young, have more experience and are not dealing with a 3 big man problem like the Sixers.
Jul 27, 2016 the sixers will be have at least 4 guys on the court at all times that are 6"8 or bigger.
Jul 27, 2016 Compared to the Warriors, sure.. Compared to the sixers? Lol no. Lakers have a great rebuild going and a ton of young talent. As far as your other post, size isn't nearly as important as it used to be in the NBA. Do you follow the NBA pretty closely?
Jul 27, 2016 A long shot? both of them are gonna win between 25-30 games (if that), Sixers roster might matter if this were like 2018, but lets not put too much stock in a bunch of rookies/unknown Euros/Injury prone players. Im just hoping they can be better then the Nets lol...
Jul 28, 2016 I want to see the Lakers finish outside the bottom 3 so we have a good chance taking their pick so them.
Jul 28, 2016 i mean Russell will be great if he can learn to be coached. Ingram has a chance to be a star but is super skinny and will need at least a year to get acclimated with the style of play in the NBA. Randle is ok, Clarkson is good. I just think the Sixers young talent is a step above, and that's not counting if Embiid/Saric turn out good. Noel is a defensive stud. Okafor can pretty much get 20 on any given night. If they can learn to play together and both sides of the ball then they'll be fantastic. Embiid has the chance to be the best of all three if he can stay healthy. Saric has a chance to be a solid NBA player. And Simmons, unlike Ingram, already has an NBA body and can easily put up 15/10/7 (which ever category you want to give those #s to) on any given night. Also, I know size doesn't matter much anymore with the game moving more to the perimeter, but that much size could be deadly on the glass, could cause teams trouble getting shots off and will force teams to change their game plan. I'm more of a college basketball guy, but I watch all the Sixers games for the most part, big regular season games between prime time teams, and the playoffs, of course. I will say the NBA is my least favorite professional league, but I still love it and can hold in depth convos about it because all I watch is sports lol
Jul 28, 2016 Yea I exaggerated lol. I think the Sixers can/will win 7-12 more games than the Lakers. I know we still won't be very good, but I think our young guys are a bit ahead of the Lakers already. If they stay healthy, and can learn to play together or at least co-exist, then I see no reason as to why they won't be a decent bit ahead of the Lakers. I hope the Sixers are better than the Nets too lol. But I hope the Lakers are the worst team since the Sixers will finally get their pick no matter what in 2017
Jul 28, 2016 It's still top 3 protected and becomes unprotected in 2018. I really hope we get in the 2017 draft as it's stacked with point guards and wingers that we really need.
