    I stole an Xbox gift card once and yeah didn't work they scan it at the front
    Having someone that works at the store on your side would be perfect though if you wanted to pull off an inside job

    Not completely. You scan an amount on the card ($50 for example), but then it will show in the register system that you're down $50.

    Lol yea I mean I didn't have my hopes up or anything it was obviously too good to be true but I was wondering how it worked I guess I've just never seen someone activate one before but I've also never bought or received one

    Because a gift card is the size of a credit card so it would be nothing to steal 10 at a time idk how easy you think it is to steal a thousand dollars worth of something from a store
