    WWDC = June 5

    Speculate what'll be introduced to iOS 11 and/or other announcements.

    my guesses:
    • visual voicemail (facetime voicemails)
    • group facetime chat
    • mark text/imessages as unread
    • change default browser (this is more hopeful than anything)
    • assign custom sounds to app notifications
    • control center customization (doubtful)
    • deeper 3rd party integration with Siri
    • rotate video recording orientation without physically turning your device
    • lots of enhancements to Siri
    • Mail app enhancements...lingering bugs from iOS 10 boost
    ...sounds like they may announce new hardware as well: mbp refresh, iPads

    I'm excited. Not sure if I will upgrade to the next iPhone yet though, thinking of just paying off and keeping the 7 another year
    This is what I want the most, I can't believe we can't do this yet

    if you pay it off, do you get to keep it? im not on the monthly lease program, but don't thye make you hand it back to them at the time of upgrade or some s---? seems ridic.

    If you pay it off, yeah you get to keep it but the total (monthly lease + payoff amt) ends up being like $700

    Or you can just upgrade for free after 12 months, give the phone back, and start a new lease for the new iPhone

    I miss the days of $200 flat fee to get a new phone and never having a monthly payment

    how much is left to pay off after 12 months? better to pay it off and then sell on ebay/clist?

    Well the contract is 18 months so after 12 months you still have 6 payments ($33 for my phone with 128gb) + $182 buyout charge

    So like $380... selling it on eBay is probably a good idea but idk if I could get near what I paid for it ever

    adspot is pretty funny... showing what were to happen if apps just disappeared:
    car crashes
    girls handing out "selfie" paper photos on the street
    people having surgery to swap faces
    people showing up to wrong homes asking if it's their airbnb
    etc

    "keep developing apps...the world is depending on it" (or something like that)

    • tvOS
      • amazon prime video is coming to AppleTV
    • Apple Watch
      • watchOS 4
      • siri integration into watch face: face will dynamically update throughout the day with new updates/statuses based on time of day, schedule, etc.
      • new watch faces: calydascope, toy story, etc.
      • activity workout updates
      • exercise app revamped/updated
      • syncing of data across workout machines (ex: stairmaster, treadmills, etc.)
      • music updates: multiple playlists, auto-start playlists with specific workouts, etc.
      • native core bluetooth support
      • flashlight built into command center
      • coming this fall

      • refinements to previous version
      • safari
        • "safari is worlds fastest desktop browser"
        • autoplay blocking in safari to stop ads from playing video/audio
        • intelligent tracking prevention to protect privacy
        • mail search: uses spotlight to identify top hits
        • mail: splitview to show inbox on left, compose on right
        • mail uses 35% less disk space to store emails now
        • photos: filtering, new views, face recognition, synchronization of categorizing, new editing tools (curves to fine tune contrast, selective color, jump right into photoshop), etc.
        • Apple File System (APFS) coming to macOS
        • H.265 (40% better compression than H.264), helps support 4k+
        • Metal2... super nerd stuff that helps graphics go boom
        • VR engines coming to the mac
