    He kinda became a meme after p---- My Ride, which sadly makes people forget about the dope s--- he has dropped. At The Speed Of Life, Restless, and Man vs. Machine are near-classics for me. He has incredible mic presence and his beat selection is awesome. His music is one of the best examples of the early 2000s west coast sound.

    You could really think that he lost his appeal after all this time, but even his newer stuff is dope.

    ayyo heres 8 reasons to f--- w x
    1. hes maybe not the most iconic scene in 8 mile but his is one of tha best
    2. i love that his peak follows dmx's peak. so u could credibly go like 8 years saying ur fav rapper was "x"
    3. i also love that xzibit - while perhaps not as aggressive or iconic as dmx - still rapped for the right to the letter X. the rapper most associated w a bottom tier alphabet symbol ay
    4. hes probably dre's greatest protege who didnt become a worldwide superstar
    5. again, dre's production w him is what i most associate w the doctor and his early 2000s heyday, beyond the obvious singles. kenny parker show etc
    6. today MTV is dominated by endless episodes of ridiculousness. makes me nostalgic and yearn for p---- my ride tbh
    7. eminem usually works best alone. but out of all his random collaborations, his work w xzibit is the most consistent (dont approach me, whats the difference etc.) my name is one of the greatest eminem songs not on an eminem record.
    8 "X" is a perfect single. and shout out snoop's classic outro

    Xzibit is a great artist, very underrated, I saw him live in 2019 and that show was crazy!

    I read that he planned to put out "Restless 2" back in 2010, but Hurt Locker and the other single Phenom didn't really blow up in the charts, so it got cancelled. :/

    Napalm was a solid album too, definitely an improvement from Weapons and Full Circle

    X is unfairly sh---ed on due to p---- My Ride and a general perception but At the Speed of Life is one of the great rap albums of the 90s, and a classic. And 40 Dayz & 40 Nightz is brilliant too.

    He has other good albums and amazing songs, but point is - he is a great rapper, a great artist and should be spoken about more often amongst the greats; definitely not a cartoon.

    Great rapper. Great thread.
