Aug 25, 2021 f--- yeah! This forum was made for this moment. Its whole purpose is fullfiling right now!
Aug 25, 2021 Glad you're doing this! Doesn't need to be anything huge just a sentence for each song will suffice lol
Aug 25, 2021 You want me to do Em or another artist? (I think I'm more familiar with Em than you are with kanye cuz I've been a stan of both artists in my life, so I could do an artist I'm less familiar with if you want) They both have 10 "studio albums" discounting mxitapes, collabs, etc etc. so it works out nicely if I do Em: SSLP MMLP TES Encore Relapse Recovery MMLP2 Revival Kamikaze MTBMB
Aug 25, 2021 Will do. And I will post the review of College Dropout tomorrow (right now it’s about 9:30 in the evening). Tomorrow I’ll finish it and post it. and yea, I’d like you to do eminems album. And u are right, i have always been a huge fan of Em, but not Ye. But I still think it would be cool if u review Eminem.
Aug 25, 2021 Em it is then! I'm gonna be traveling the next few days but I'll do SSLP before I leave if I can
Aug 25, 2021 Tier 1: Yeezus MBDTF The College Dropout Tier 2: 808s & Heartbreak Graduation Pablo Late Registration (Donda—not rly ranked cuz we haven't heard the final yet but my gut says that it will belong in this tier from what I've heard) Tier 3: ye Jesus Is King
Aug 25, 2021 @Z Gangsta not sure if you've heard all of ye's albums but if so you should do a prediction for your ye ratings like I did for em in the other thread (and do em there too if you want)
Aug 26, 2021 Z Gangsta reviews The Colloge Dropout @Donkey Kong Country I have heard all of Kanyes album but most of them have been around the time they were released with a few exceptions on certain songs. So it's been a long time for most of them so it'll be interesting. I dont think I can make a fair ranking at this point so we'll see how it turns out. But one thing I do remember is that The College Dropout is easily his best album imo. This is a true hiphop classic! Believe it or not, but I love this album, it's nearly perfect. It is so close to perfect I give it a 10 out of 10. It'll be interesting to see if I have changed my mind drastically when I get to his next albums. But as some of you know, I prefere hiphop albums that are or sound, more like classic hiphop from the 90's. Thats the music I grew up on. And my opinion is that this album has that classic hiphopsound to it, some really good beats. Kanyes top 3 songs are on this album. At least. 1. We Don't Care Perfect opening track. Nice chorus, verses, it's catchy. Love it. 2. All Falls Down Classic track. Love the singing on the chorus and the background. Kanye has nice flow. 3. Spaceship What can I say? Like most of the album, production, feats, samples, verses are all top notch. No exception here. 4. Jesus Walks Top 3 Kanye song, possibly his best song, beat and sample is giving me an erection. He started off his career with Jesus and looks like he is ending it with Jesus as well. "If I talk about God my records wont get played". This is somewhat an integrity that he left soon after when he sold his soul to the devil. 5. Never Let Me Down This is another Top 3 that is a contender for his best song. Classic hiphop track and Jay is killing this s---. 6. Get Em High One of my personal favourites. Really my type of beat. I love simple, repetitive beats like this one, and when the last verse or hook is over the beat keeps going for a while is the s---. Not the case here but just wanted to say it. 7. The New Workout Plan Only track on the album that I really dislike. I mean, what the f--- is this s---? What a joke. Extremely fast beat and they are all over the place with this s---. Just waiting for a heartattack listening to this. However, since every other track on this album is great, this doesnt put down the album as a whole. 8. Slow Jamz One thing on this album I dont like, is that I feel like the high pitched samples are used too much. I like high pitched samples but theres too much of it on this album. Love the singing on the hook. Nice noddable beat. 9. Breath In Breath Out Objectively nothing too special, but personally, this is my type of track, slow, nice beat, with some dope rapping. 10. School Spirit Solid track. 11. Two Words Oh man are u kidding me? This is some good s---, probably 4th best track on the album. This is what i want to hear, not that f---ing Nintendomusic bs like Graduation or rusty chainsaws like Yeezus. Absolutely incredible track, cant stress it enough. 12. Through The Wire Another top 3. Perfect track, one of the best samples ever used. Impossible not to nod your head to this one. 13. Family Business Perfect place on the album for this song. I really like the piano and the story he is telling. 14. Last Call Kinda cool way to end the album, talking about everything happened up to this point etc. Skits obviously not included.
Aug 26, 2021 You share the exact same opinion as I do regarding Kanye… he only has one classic and that’s TCDO. Late Registration is okay too but after that whew t r a s h. Unpopular opinion I know.
Aug 26, 2021 Imo, his best is MBDTF, that's one of my favorite albums of all time. Love it. He had a pretty good debut too, I just go back to MBDTF, Graduation, 808s and Yeezus way more.
