People are quick to bash Eminem for the music he puts out. Saying he's "washed up" or "he fell off for the past 10 years". (I can't understand where some of your opinions are coming from)

Yet I've noticed something about those very same people. They never mention anything good Eminem puts out.

I'd like to hear your honest thoughts as music fans on these songs below..

Eminem "Yelling / Screaming" flow. "Above The Law" uses this flow the best. A hard hitting track with Eminem flexing hard with his verse. Look how easy he flows on the beat. ("Eminem always flows off beat")


Eminem "Useless s-----y chicks on hooks", "He doesn't stay on topic" & "Weak punchlines". The hook on this song is proof that Eminem can sound great with chicks and not lose any of his aggression while rapping. He also stays on topic in this song. His punchlines are awesome too, here is one of them.. "Don't call me the champ; call me the space shuttle destroyer.. I just blew up the challenger" (he is talking about defeating someone he's battling).


"Eminem can't compete with new artist". I don't think you guys fully understand when Eminem is holding back. He's been hinting for many years now that he doesn't like new rappers and finds them crony. He even throws in a few lines at times to test waters. Exp: (Evil Twin) "I'm going all out in this rap sh-t and whatever the fallout is I'm strapped for battles" & "F-ck top 5, I'm top 4". Basically saying he's at the top and the the only ones competing with him are dead legends. (My Darling) "Everybody bores me they're just so corny". Eminem's telling you he's not feeling rappers and is bored.. no one left to compete with. (Almost Famous) has hints at wanting to battle also.




If these songs doesn't prove to you that Eminem hasn't lost a step.. I don't know what else to say.

Note: I purposely left out songs, I felt was already popular in the forum. Wanted to bring up something fresh.

People focus more on the negative because his past work is so highly regarded. Even when he might put out some good tracks the bad ones far outweigh those, unfortunately. I don't necessarily agree with that (I enjoy Recovery a lot, and there is a decent amount I like on MMLP2), but thats why it happens.

If you wanna say you still like him or whatever fine, but I don't understand how you could really feel he 'hasn't lost a step' at all. So what he's done since 8 mile is equal to what he did before 8 mile then?

Re-read what I wrote. You're answer has proven my point. People can't tell when Eminem is holding back. Eminem has said many times that he "hates going all out.. on every single song". I never said all his music is equal bro. I'm saying Emienm does put out great songs when he wants to. When you can do that as an artist.. you don't lose a step because you're in control of the level of music you want to put out.

But this makes no sense. Why would an artist want to put out work they themselves don't think is great? You're trying to say that he puts out mediocre work on purpose and then decides himself when he wants to put out great material?

Because its cool to ignore the positive and just talk about the negative
I like how everyone acts like SSLP - 8 Mile Eminem walked on water or cured cancer or something as an Eminem fan myself I don't even act that way
A lot of people sound so weird with how they talk about him and how he was before

Evil Twin - Tries too hard
My Darling - Says "crap" in the opening line.....turned it off after that so never heard it

lol, s--- doesn't work this way. You cant just find 4-6 ''good songs'' and suddenly it adds up with 30+ s--- songs over the last 6 years.

and Eminem is a p---- to admit to the public that he doesn't like the new rappers, in interviews he always says he digs them and s---. He even got asked about the ''f--- a top 5, I'm top 4'' and he was like ''Man I was just playing around with words man, no target''. So you're just spinnin' your own thoughts bro
